What are my intentions?

My intentions for my A2 exam:
  • I will start off with observational drawings of my chosen animals from a various different angles,
  • I will then use geometric shapes to form my chosen animal's parts and also their whole form,
  • I will use computer software to enhance the quality of my work,
  • I have planned to present my studied investigation masterpiece as powerful images.

A Logo and Design started as a single image used as an expression of an individual an idea or even a product.

In the ancient times, merchants used elephants to represent they have been to Africa. As Africa would quite a distant from other continents this would illustrate the reputation of the merchant. Dolphin sometimes represented the merchant is dealing with fish. These indicated who the merchant was which was the beginning of the Logo. Logo is basically a mask which also stand in for who you are.
Egyptian Rope Stretchers
Tompkins, Peter. Secrets of the Great Pyramid. NY: Harper, 1971. p. 22.

Like the travellers in this picture. There, the story goes, geometry got its start when rope stretchers were sent out to put back the boundary markers washed away by the Nile...

After Watching the NOVA Documentary

I have captured three useful ideas which I will begin to utilise are

  1. Effective print designs using mathematical shapes
  2. Slight movements which attracts the eyes
  3. Use computer software to enhance the quality of work
